"The members of HalfCut provide such interactive productions [which] are inspirational and a fantastic representation of non-conventional theatre"
HalfCut create immersive and interactive experiences, challenging people’s perceptions and preconceptions, which can be stand-alone installations or concepts which engage with existing productions.
HalfCut consists of three performers - Astor Agustsson, Dan Ball and Joe Iredale - who all graduated from the European Theatre Arts course at Rose Bruford College. After graduating, the members of HalfCut have individually worked with various theatre companies, such as Tangled Feet; You, Me Bum-Bum Train; Bottlefed Ensemble; and Mkultra.
Since the company's formation in the summer of 2010, HalfCut have worked closely with Theatre Delicatessen, creating their eponymous performance installation for TDs Theatre Souk in September 2010.
In 2011, HalfCut have joined Theatre Delicatessen again in their production of 'A Dolls House' with our mysogenistic world including a tongue-in-cheek 'male only' bar!
BEWERE! There is a werewolf on the loose. HalfCut presents this dead playful game, full of attacks, murder scenes, moustaches and red riding hoods. Some quick advise just play dead and Bewere.
Welcome to Mars, an installation created for the Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros five night sell-out show at The Old Vic Tunnels.
Commisioned by Theatre Delicatessen, we created an immersive environment, surrounding the audience with themes and concepts from the play, including a chauvenistic bar where only men could be served. Women could, however, obtain disguises from 'touts' which hung out in the corridors, enabling them to 'man up' and be served
A well dressed man pokes his head out from a doorway, beconing you in. He's offering 'the only real experience in this building full of make-believe'. If you accept, you will be crossing boundaries which people usually don't let strangers cross with them, but there's a price. How far will you take this... and where will you take it from?
